Everyone is welcome to climb with them at the Gravity Vault Indoor Rock Gyms, facilities where the thrilling activity of rock climbing may be experienced. Climbing can be learned, trained for, and enjoyed by climbers of all experience levels. Their mission is to provide an inviting and enjoyable atmosphere for climbers of all levels.They offer many ways to use their facilities suitable for people of all ages and degrees of expertise. Their climbing gym provides various options, including memberships, day passes, private climbing lessons, and group courses.

Characterized by various wall elements, including arêtes, arches, keyholes, chimneys, cracks, overhangs, and more.Their facility options consist of the following:

  • 40+ foot climbing walls, 14,000+ square feet of climbing space, 45–60 top rope stations, and more
  • Cardiovascular and strength training areas with extensive bouldering and dynamic lead climbing
  • Clubs and pro shops
  • Personal Party Areas

The only way to experience all The Gravity Vault has to offer is to climb in each of their gyms, each of which has been specially created and has a distinctive layout.

History

Since 2005, the Gravity Vault Indoor Rock Gyms have been providing services to the communities that we are a part of. They created the first site in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, and increased the programming choices to include memberships, private climbing sessions, birthday parties, camps, competitive climbing teams, and more. Lucas Kovalcik and Tim Walsh founded the business. The Gravity Vault launched its second site in Chatham, New Jersey, after spending the previous four years refining the programming at its first location.

The Gravity Vault Indoor Rock Gyms took the next step toward bringing rock climbing to local communities everywhere in 2013 when they opened their first facility owned and operated by a franchisee in Middletown, New Jersey. This facility was the first of its kind for the company. The Gravity Vault is planning to establish locations in states all along the east coast to continue their mission of bringing the activity of rock climbing to local communities worldwide.

1 hour of private time (Staff Belay)

One of the most well-liked ways to scale their walls is using the Staff Belay. It is suitable for climbers of any fitness level and can accommodate up to four people aged five and older. During your one-hour session of top rope climbing, they will offer you the required tools and a trainer to guide you around their facility.

Introduction to Rock Climbing

Their curriculum provides an introduction to rock climbing. Top rope climbing session with their staff that lasts ninety minutes and includes all necessary equipment. This program is designed for groups of five or more participants. It is possible to modify it for large-scale events, but it works just as well for a few individuals who desire to experience something different.

Private Climbing Pods

Private Climbing Pods allow you to book climbing lessons for your pod based on the weekday and time that best suits your needs for six weeks. This program will keep you pushed both physically and intellectually and will teach you the ropes over six weeks. This is wonderful for families with children of different ages, including the mother and father, and learning pods!

Belay Certification Class

The process of handling the climbing rope for the climber who is ascending the wall is known as “belaying.” You will learn to do all these things and more by taking the Belay Certification Class. Excellent for those who want to learn how to climb without the help of a guide or teacher. After the instruction portion of the day is through, participants are encouraged to stick around and keep rising for the rest of the day.

Birthday Parties

Celebrate your child’s birthday at The Gravity Vault, where guests of all ages, starting at five years old, may come to climb and have a good time. The birthday party will continue for a total of two hours, of which 1.5 hours will be spent climbing and the last half hour will be spent celebrating in their party room. To cater to your requirements, the party room comes with various package choices; to make a reservation.

Kids’ Classes

The Kids’ Classes offered at The Gravity Vault are catered to youngsters between the ages of 5 and 13. A lesson will be taught by their knowledgeable professors every week for a total of six weeks in a row. They also include a make-up week, so if you miss a week, don’t worry about it. These sessions provide an atmosphere where children may acquire climbing methods, improve strength and confidence, and have fun.

Camp Rocks

Children aged 7 to 14 years old who cannot get enough of climbing are the ideal candidates for the week-long summer program offered by The Gravity Vault. Climbers of all skill levels will benefit from five days of steady climbing, including two days outside. In addition to a significant amount of top-roping and bouldering, the kids will spend the week participating in team building, rappelling, and games.

Lead Climbing Class

This is the perfect lesson for you if you have never led a group before or if you haven’t done so in quite some time! You will learn every aspect of lead climbing in their lesson. of the principles of lead climbing and belaying for indoor sport climbing. Belay skills like feeding rope while climbing, feeding rope while clipping, rope management, stick clipping, and dynamic belay techniques using a Petzl Gri Gri device will be discussed in this course. The system’s lead climbing component covers various subjects, including risk management, the correct way to maneuver around the rope when climbing, and the clipping technique. Pre-Requisites: A climbing ability of 5.9+/5.10 continuously is required, as well as certification in top-rope belaying.
